Disney’s aggressive acquisition strategy has turned it into a near-monopoly in the entertainment industry. With properties like Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic under its belt, Disney has not only amassed vast power but also stifled competition. This consolidation often leads to:
- Lack of diversity in storytelling: Many of Disney’s newer movies feel formulaic, sticking to a predictable structure designed to maximize box office returns.
- Reduced opportunities for smaller studios: Independent creators often struggle to compete with Disney’s marketing machine and global reach.
